The House Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump released its final report on Tuesday. While there were several revelations, the most shocking may have been that a Secret Service agent fired on a suspect.

From point-blank range.

And completely whiffed … six separate times.

The second attempt on Trump’s life happened in September 2024 at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, where a man, Ryan Wesley Routh, was apprehended after being spotted with a rifle near the golf course.

Routh had been in his shooting position since 1:59 a.m. Trump arrived at the golf course around 11 a.m. and had been on the course for two hours before the Secret Service located Routh via a sweep.

Unbeknownst to the public, an agent apparently saw Routh pointing a rifle out across the golf course and proceeded to open fire.

“The agent first noticed the suspect, later identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, and then noticed the barrel of Routh’s gun sticking through the fence line,” the report reads. “The special agent, who may have been as close as five feet away from Routh, immediately responded by firing shots toward the suspect.”

“It is believed six shots in total were fired; however, final ballistics are pending an ongoing FBI investigation.”

Secret Service Tried, Failed To Shoot Would Be Assassin During Second Attempt

First of all, who is the Secret Service hiring and arming in the President-elect’s detail that they go 0 for 6? You could blindfold Stevie Wonder, spin him around 10 times while his head is on the end of a bat, have him throw down some shots, and he’d still hit the guy at least twice.

Hell, Bronny James can at least hit 1 out of 6 shots on a decent night.

Fox News host Jesse Watters was absolutely astonished to hear that a Secret Service agent tried and failed to take down the man behind the second Trump assassination attempt.

“He was only five feet away and he missed [Routh] not once, not twice, but six times,” Watters reported. He found it necessary to repeat it because it was so stunning.

“He missed him six times from five feet,” Watters said. “How does a trained agent who passed the firearms test miss a target five feet away?”

FOX NEWS ALERT: New revelations about the attempted Trump assassin, Ryan Routh. The @SecretService agent who spotted Routh in the bushes was only five feet away from him, but shot and missed- SIX TIMES. How does a trained agent miss a target five feet away? How Does This Happen?

I’d love to know how things went down after the Secret Service shot at Routh during the second Trump assassination six times without so much as a scratch.

Did his shirt look like Swiss cheese? We don’t know, because there’s no indication the agent was even that close with his shots.

And did the agent then sheepishly just walk up to Routh afterward … and arrest him?

The report actually praises this agent’s actions. Even though he couldn’t hit the ocean with his gun.

“[T]he diligence of and successful scanning by the special agent conducting [redacted] of former President Trump provided a critical line of defense to avert a disaster that day,” the report stated.

“The special agent’s quick response and decision to discharge his firearm in the direction of the threat prevented a potentially lethal or other dangerous scenario from occurring.”

Ah, I see. They were just six warning shots.

Nothing like patting yourself on the back after failing at the only thing you’re trained to do in that situation.
